Mattioli Woods' Investment - FAQs

1. Why is Amati entering into this transaction?

This is an arrangement which the partners at Amati Global Partners LLP (the parent company of Amati Global Investors Limited) believe makes sound commercial and strategic sense. Whilst Amati is capable of navigating the regulatory environment and continuing its growth as an independent entity, the presence of a well-resourced partner in Mattioli Woods will provide additional support in these respects and allow Amati to gain greater scale.

2. Who is Mattioli Woods?

Mattioli Woods is a UK wealth manager and employee benefits business that is listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange, with a market capitalisation of £195 million (at 6 Feb 2017). It was founded in 1991 by Ian Mattioli and Bob Woods and Ian continues as the current CEO of the group. Mattioli Woods has an impressive history of organic and acquisitive growth and, for the year ended 31 May 2016, announced revenues of £43 million, adjusted EBITDA of £9.3 million and net cash of £29.8 million.

3. What will be the impact on my Amati investments?

These portfolios will continue to be managed in the same way by Paul Jourdan, Douglas Lawson and David Stevenson, with support from the wider Amati team.

4. Do I need to do anything?
